About Fixtor
About Fixtor
What is Fixtor.ai?
Fixtor is an AI-native back office for small trade contractors. Seven AI roles handle scheduling, invoicing, follow-ups, and customer calls. Built in Canada, free for solo contractors, no credit card required.
Who is Fixtor for?
Trade contractors running 1 to 20 technicians — plumbers, electricians, HVAC, garage door, appliance repair, and adjacent trades. Designed for owners who do the work themselves or run a small crew, not enterprise operations.
Is Fixtor live yet?
Fixtor is in pre-launch with a Canadian early-access cohort. Sign up on /coming-soon to join the waitlist — we onboard contractors in small batches so we can talk to every one personally.
Where is Fixtor based?
Fixtor AI Inc. is headquartered in Barrie, Ontario, and incorporated in Canada. Built by a team that's worked alongside trade contractors — not a Silicon Valley product team guessing at the trades.

Is Fixtor really free for solo contractors?
Yes. Fixtor Solo is free forever — no credit card, no trial expiry. You get all 7 AI roles, 50 credits per month, and fair-use caps of 10 jobs, 10 invoices, 10 quotes, and 20 requests per month.
How much does Fixtor cost?
Solo is $0/mo (1 tech, fair-use). Pro is $29/mo (1 tech, unlimited). Growth is $79/mo (up to 5 techs). Business is $199/mo (up to 20 techs). All paid tiers include unlimited jobs, invoices, quotes, and requests.
Are there any per-seat or per-tech fees?
No. Every paid tier is flat. Growth covers up to 5 techs at $79/mo flat; Business covers up to 20 techs at $199/mo flat. You upgrade a tier only when the team outgrows it — not on every hire.
What are credits?
Credits meter AI usage. One credit equals one meaningful AI action — drafting an invoice, taking a call, optimizing a route, sending a follow-up. Top-ups at $5/$9/$20 add 50/100/250 credits and never expire.
What happens if I run out of credits mid-month?
Nothing breaks. The AI roles pause non-urgent actions until you top up or the next month refreshes. You can keep using the platform manually. One $9 top-up adds 100 credits and never expires.
Can I cancel or downgrade anytime?
Yes. No minimum contract, no annual commitment. Cancel or downgrade from account settings; changes take effect at the end of the current billing period. Data is exportable in standard formats before you leave.
Do you offer annual billing discounts?
Not at launch. Fixtor is monthly-billed with no commitment so contractors can validate the product before locking in a year. We may add an annual discount later — when we do, existing customers will hear first.
How the AI works
How the AI works
What are the 7 AI roles?
Receptionist (calls, bookings), Office Manager (invoices, AR), Dispatcher (routes), Sales Assistant (quotes), Marketing Manager (reviews, follow-ups), Business Coach (daily briefings), Technical Advisor (equipment ID from photos). All included on every paid plan.
Will the AI send messages to my customers without my approval?
No. Every outbound action — invoice, follow-up text, quote, booking confirmation — lands in the approval queue. You see the full text, dollar amount, and recipient before you tap approve. Financial actions cannot bypass approval.
Can I turn off individual AI roles?
Yes. Each role has an on/off toggle in settings. Turn off the Receptionist if you'd rather take calls yourself; turn off Marketing Manager if you don't want review-request automation. Roles work independently.
What model does Fixtor use?
Fixtor uses a mix of frontier models — primarily Claude — chosen per role for cost and accuracy. The model layer is abstracted so we can swap underlying providers without changing how the product works for you.
Does the AI learn from my data?
Your data is used to personalize the AI's behavior in your account — nothing is shared with other contractors or used to train third-party models. See /privacy for the full data-handling policy.
Setup & onboarding
Setup & onboarding
How long does setup take?
Five minutes for the basics. Pick your trade, enter your business name, connect your phone number for the Receptionist, and you're running. Imports, integrations, and AI tuning happen as you use the product.
Do I need a sales call to get started?
No. Self-serve signup, no demo required. Solo is free — start, kick the tires, decide if it fits. We're available by email if you want a human, but it's never required.
Can I import my customers and jobs?
Yes — generic CSV import works today. One-click migration from Jobber and Housecall Pro is on the roadmap (F-103). Join the migration waitlist on /vs/jobber or /vs/housecall-pro for early access.
Do you have a mobile app?
Yes. iOS and Android apps with full offline support — quote and invoice from the truck, even with no signal. Built on PowerSync, so data syncs the moment you're back online.

How is Fixtor different from Jobber?
Jobber bills per-seat with AI sold as add-ons. Fixtor is flat-priced with 7 AI roles included. Fixtor Pro is $29/mo vs Jobber Core at $49. At 20 techs, Fixtor saves $290–$645/mo. See /vs/jobber.
How is Fixtor different from Housecall Pro?
HCP charges $79/mo for one user; Fixtor Pro is $29/mo. HCP charges $189/mo for 5 users; Fixtor Growth is $79/mo. HCP has a strong consumer booking funnel — Fixtor's marketplace is on the roadmap. See /vs/housecall-pro.
Should I use Fixtor instead of QuickBooks?
No — Fixtor and QuickBooks solve different problems. QuickBooks is your accounting; Fixtor is your front office (calls, jobs, invoices, dispatch). They work together. Two-way QB sync is on the Fixtor roadmap (F-1105). See /vs/quickbooks.
Is Fixtor a good fit for ServiceTitan customers?
Probably not. ServiceTitan is built for 25+ tech operations with a dedicated software manager. Fixtor is built for 1–20 tech operations where the owner is the software manager. If you're outgrowing Jobber, that's where we fit.
Canada, security & data
Canada, security & data
Where is my data stored?
AWS ca-central-1 in Montreal. Data does not leave Canada. Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). PIPEDA-compliant handling. See /security for the full architecture.
Does Fixtor handle GST, HST, PST, and QST correctly?
Yes — by province and service type, from day one. This is native to the product, not a US-first FSM with a Canadian disclaimer. Provincial tax splits and zero-rated services are supported.
Is Fixtor PIPEDA-compliant?
Yes. Fixtor follows the 10 PIPEDA fair-information principles for collection, use, disclosure, and retention of personal information. See /privacy for the full policy and /security for technical controls.
What about US contractors?
US contractors can use Fixtor. Sales tax handling is the only gap — US sales tax rules vary by state and locality, and Fixtor's tax engine is Canada-first. US tax depth is on the roadmap.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email privacy@fixtor.ai or use the in-app delete option. We confirm in writing, export your data in standard formats if you want a copy, and remove all personal data within 30 days per PIPEDA requirements.
Question we didn't answer?
Email us. A human (not a bot) replies within one business day.
